Place the feeders about 10-15 feet from a tree or bush so birds can easily retreat to safety if a predator gets too close. Twice a month, flush with hot water and dry before refilling. For a more thorough monthly cleaning, soak the feeders in a mixture of 0.25 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon of water, then clean with a bottle brush. Rinse with fresh water before refilling.
